Site of the First National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party The CCP was founded in July 1921 in a French concession building at 76 Xingye Lu. Given the significance of the occasion, the museum has a very low profile. There are some photographs and the like with English captions.

Sun Yatsen's Residence The great forerunner of China's Democratic Revolution Dr Sun Yatsen and his wife Madame Soong Ching Ling lived and worked here for the revolution from 1918 to 1924. Here Dr. Sun met with representatives of the Chinese Communist Party and brought about the first Nationalist-Communist coalition in history. For opening hours call: 64372954.

Old City Wall Built in 1555 AD in order to protect the city from the Japanese. These are the remnants of the wall that was torn down in 1914.
