Sonjiang County You can go to Songjiang County about 40 km southwest of Shanghai. The rare Square Pagoda in the Xinghseng Monastery, Sangong Street is very interesting. Open daily. Besides this monument you can see the Zuibai Ci Garden (Pond for Enjoying Bai's Drunkenness)outside the West Gate of the city.
Daguanyuan Garden Known as the Grand View Garden in English located 65 km north of Shanghai on Dianshan Lake west of Quinpu town is a nice daytrip. It can be combined with a visit to Zhou Zhuang Village, a beautiful little town with canals like Suzhou's.
